How to modify images and text on the homepage

1. Begin by logging into the Manager area of the website (if you do not know how to login to the Manager area, please see the tutorial entitled “General Overview”).

2. In the tree diagram on the left, navigate to the document entitled, "My Property".  To the left of "My Property" is a "+" sign: click it.  Once you click the "+" sign, documents will be seen underneath this document.  One document will be named “Edit Property Text & Slideshow”.  Right click this document and choose “Edit Document” from the pop up menu.

3. Once this document loads, you will see “Title” and “Long Title” under the “General” tab.  The value that you enter in the “Title” will correspond to the name of the document in the tree diagram on the left.  The value you enter in “Long Title” will correspond to the First title that appears on the homepage above the slideshow.  For example, if you were to enter “Welcome to My Website” in Longtitle and then save the document and look at the homepage in another browser, you will see that phrase, “Welcome to My Website” on the homepage above the slideshow.

4. In the Document Content area, simply enter the text you want to appear to the right of the slideshow on the homepage.

5. if you scroll down a little more in the document to the "Template Variables" section, you will see “Slideshow Image 1”, “Slideshow Image 2”, “Slideshow Image 3”, etc.  The images you enter here will correspond to the images that shows up on the slideshow on the homepage (to learn more about uploading images and inserting them in a particular document, view the tutorial for “How to Upload Images” and “How to Insert Images on Pages”).

7. Now simply save the document by scrolling back up to the top of the page where you will see to the right of “Create/edit document”, 2 rows of choices.  On the first row you will see “Save”, “Delete” and “Cancel”.  On the second row, you will see “After saving: Add Another, Continue Editing, Close”.  Simply choose “Continue Editing” and then click “Save”.  If you have another browser or tab open, you can go to the page where the change occurred (in this case the homepage) and you’ll be able to see where this change occurred.

8. If you do not see any changes on the page you just modified, simply refresh that page and the change should show up.
